My addiction series hits home for me. My mom passed away due to addiction. Addiction has huge effects, physically and mentally.To show the effects of addiction, I started a series of paintings depicting the physical effects to the human body from different types of addictions.

Some of my favorite objects to paint are people. People can include portraits or the human body in general. I personally see how beautiful people are and in my paintings I like to express that through a lot of various colors and various brush strokes.
Being A Woman Series

Being a woman is empowering, our strength is unmatched considering how far we have come in the fight for equality of the sexes but we still have far to go. Women are looked down upon and still deal with men expecting them to reproduce, cook, clean, and submit to men. A Lot of women are strong single parents, CEOs, business owners, and engineers. My paintings are depicting the different Issues women still deal with.

Vinyl Recreation

This is my vinyl recreation. For one of my classes we were assigned to recreate an album we really liked or related to, the album I chose is called American Teen, it is one of my favorites. In order to achieve the feeling in this album I had to depict love and heartache. Heartache from love for me can be depicted as laying in between a swarm of sharks. While everything seems to be getting closer and more unsafe, you have to remain calm even though everything seems to be going wrong. To create the design I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Magazine Spread

The magazine spread I made was for a project in my Intro to Typography class. We each got a well known font family and had to make an interesting layout for a magazine spread. To create this piece I used Indesign. I really wanted my magazine spread to be fun and colorful but also tie back to the text I researched. The Font I was given was Helvetica and if you know anything about Helvetica, you must know how it was used for so many businesses for its clarity. The business that stood out to me the most was NASA, they used helvetica a lot in documentation but also on a spacecraft, the STS 26. So I illustrated the spacecraft and incorporated the moon and the earth with the informative text about helvetica.

Boob Zine

The boob book is a zine I created for my illustration class. To create the illustrations I used Adobe Illustrator. The zine incorporates illustrations of boobs where they don’t belong. The intention behind this piece is to simply make people laugh as well as be a small coloring book they can buy.
Luxury Cube

Recently, for my package design class we had the assignment to make a simple office item into a Luxury item. This packaging for the item needed to contain the typical information required for sale like a barcode, hazard information, as well as information about the item in the packaging. The biggest restriction for this project was the size and shape of the package we were designing, it was only a two inch by two inch cube. A small surface area can actually be quite difficult to design, it requires a lot of thinking and planning especially for all the information needing to be included about your product. The product I received was a rubber band, which I in return “redesigned” to be a fashionable weapon designed for women. The band, in theory, was indistructable and could be used in restricted locations.
Cow

My “I Smell Like Beef” cow is one of the first assignments I had for my communication design class. The assignment was to pick a saying or a quote and conform it into a shape. My favorite quote at this moment came from a meme where a little girl repeatedly says “I smell Like Beef”, so I used this quote. I felt it was only right to make the quote in the shape of a cow. After messing with the letters for a while I had a wild thought of making the word's look like the cows insides, I thought it would help add interest, so I did with the help of Adobe Illustrator and the inflate tool.

I feel like portrait photos have so much to express about the individual with out any requirement for words. I feel like portraits of people have so much power and beauty. One of my favorite aspects to draw, paint, and photograph is people so I continue to use people and humanistic features in my different meduims of art.
Path Series

For my Advanced Photography class we were given the task of making a series with photography. The idea behind my series is that everyone is different, and no two people take the same path in life, to show that through photographs, I took pictures of different shoes going down different paths. The shoes showed character whether they were brand new, old and torn, or small and for a baby. The different paths differentiated with being bumpy, long, curvy, uphill, etc.
Nature

Nature is a great get away for me. I love getting outside to inhale fresh air any chance I get, but the best part about nature is its beauty. For my nature Photography my goal is to capture its beauty for others as well as myself to view when they are in the circumstance that they are unable to go outside and hike that trail or just simply get out to see nature.
